Live at the Museum: The U-22 Revue

The Royal Alberta Museum Launches New Live Music Series

Live at the Museum: The U-22 Revue features some of Alberta’s best up & coming young artists and seasoned professionals

This spring, the Royal Alberta Museum’s Café will be transformed over the course of six consecutive Wednesdays into an intimate live music venue. Live at the Museum: The U-22 Revue is presented in partnership with the CKUA Radio Network.

Each show will feature two 30-minute sets from young artists – all aged 22 or younger – followed by a "Master Jam Session" led by an established Alberta musician.

The series, a co-production with the CKUA Radio Network, runs each Wednesday from April 30 through June 4. The Museum shares a special cultural kinship with Canada’s oldest public broadcaster. At our hearts, we’re both storytellers (CKUA tells tales through songs, we share stories through objects); we both have significant collections; and we share a province-wide mandate that compels us to create programming that is both entertaining and informative.

Tickets for each show are $10 and will be available at the Museum’s Admissions Desk and at CKUA reception (4th Floor - 10526 Jasper Avenue in Edmonton) during regular office hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Doors will be open for each show at 6:30 pm, with performances starting at 7:30 pm. Fine food and refreshments will be available at each show, and a portion of the proceeds from the concert series will be donated to The Suzuki Charter School of Music.

The May 14th program will feature Paul Cresey, Caity Fisher, Ashanti Marshall and a Master Jam led by Karla Anderson and CKUA's Andy Donnelly.
