CD of recordings made by artists who have played their music live on-air.
Some truly remarkable moments have been captured as gifted performers
gave their all to station microphones. After broadcast, those recordings
were left to gather dust in the CKUA vault. With the release of this
CD, a start is made to freeing some of those remarkable moments for new
ears.
This compilation
of songs recorded in the 70's, represents the foundation of the roots
music scene in Alberta. The music is documented by CKUA's long running
radio program from that era, 'The Acme Sausage Company'. "The collective
