The Rozsa Foundation Awards

Rozsa Foundation Award Logo

The Rozsa Award for Excellence in Arts Management was created in 2002 to honour the philanthropic efforts of Dr. Ted Rozsa and Dr. Lola Rozsa. Unique in the country, the Award is intended to recognize, celebrate and promote the contribution of an outstanding arts administrator, and to provide additional professional development benefits for both the individual and their company.

The Rozsa Foundation has since created two more awards in order to include more arts managers, and to enable additional partners to become involved. CKUA is proud to be a partner and sponsor of the Rozsa Foundation Awards.

The Rozsa Foundation is a philanthropic organization known for effective support and advocacy for the Arts in Alberta.

The Foundation builds on the legacy of Drs. Ted and Lola Rozsa, celebrated champions of the Arts and non-profit arts organizations in Calgary. And now the Rozsa Foundation extends its reach into Edmonton,  through its Rozsa Arts Management Program (RAMP) and other initiatives. RAMP is a unique executive education program for arts administrators offered jointly by the Rozsa Foundation and the University of Alberta School of Business in partnership with Haskayne School of Business Executive Education.

The Rozsa Foundation’s investment results in a significantly subsidized executive education course, making RAMP very cost-effective and accessible. The program helps increase managerial excellence and gives arts administrators, marketers and fundraising professionals a new level of expertise in board governance, strategic and audience development, human resources and finance – all key areas that directly affect an arts organization’s bottom line.

“The new economic environment in Alberta is an excellent time for organizations to invest in professional development for employees — their current and future leaders — to build new skills and capacity that will help find solutions to organizational challenges and elevate operations to the next level. The Rozsa Foundation is offering a new and compelling choice in Edmonton,” – Rozsa Foundation president Mary Rozsa de Coquet.
