RODEO 78 FROM 1955-56 FEATURING A YOUNG LUCILLE STARR
Dating from 1955-56, this rare Rodeo 78 is most likely Lucille
Starr's first recording of her international 1965 hit,
The French Song.
'Tex', former owner of this disc, played the heck out of
it and made sure we'd always know who owned the darned thing
by writing his name on the label. Still, worn or not, it's
the only copy I've ever seen so I'm glad to have it.
Note that the only mention of Lucille on the label is the
songwriting credit.
We heard this early version of The French Song
on the July 02-07 Canadiana Time edition of
RRR.
