EDDIE BOYD-24 HOURS (CHESS)

Eddie Boyd’s 1953 single 24 Hours was apparently found (by an Internet seller, not by me) in a dusty stash of sixty thousand 78s stored in a converted funeral parlour somewhere in New Mexico. Hmmm. Wonder what else might be there?

This is the second Chess label 78 to be featured in ‘The Corner’. The first – a Muddy Waters single- was well partied out. This one, by Eddie Boyd, has barely been played. As you can see, the label is in beautiful shape.

We heard this one on the June 12 RRR.
