Arts cutbacks affect the musicians who are most vulnerable - local, independent artists, working hard to establish their music careers. CKUA has always provided a channel for these voices, and now we have an exciting opportunity to do even more.
CKUA has been shortlisted for the opportunity to secure a $100,000 grant from Pepsi Canada. If successful, CKUA will establish a Songwriter-in-Residence program, designed to provide Alberta songwriters with mentorship, collaboration and development opportunities.
In order to “win” the money, CKUA needs to receive the most online votes for our project. The voting period runs for 60 days – March 1st to April 30th - and every person can vote once per day (for a total of 60 votes per person if you do it daily).
2. AFTER you log in, vote every day at www.refresheverything.ca/ckua (if you click the Vote button before logging in, it won't count)
3. Share the Vote link on Facebook and Twitter, and anywhere else!
4. Email your friends, family, and all your other peeps and ask them to vote daily too.
