
Tedeschi Trucks Band![]() Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks have each been playing music for decades. Susan Tedeschi got her start in the mid-1990s as a blues-oriented singer and guitarist in the Boston area. She attended the Berklee College of Music and made her first album in 1995. Derek Trucks got started with music early, as his uncle, Butch Trucks, is one of the founding members of the Allman Brothers Band. Derek started playing guitar on the road with the Allmans at the age of 12, and had put out his first album as a bandleader by the age of 18. Susan and Derek came to know each other when Susan's band opened for the Allman Brothers in 1999. The two were were married in 2001 and now have two children. They are also now the co-leaders of the 11-piece Tedeschi Trucks Band, who released their second album as a group, Everybody's Talkin', in 2012. Hear the feature |
