This week’s CKUA Live is packed with sessions by Altameda, Kacy & Clayton, Skinny Dyck & the Chicken Catchers and Mariel Buckley.

During their appearance at Sled Island, Altameda stopped by Gravity Pope & Blackbyrd to perform songs from Dirty Rain. On this week’s show you’ll hear them debut a yet-to-be released track from their forthcoming record.

Kacy & Clayton caught up with Tom Coxworth at the Edmonton Folk Festival this past August. They talked to Tom about working with Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, who produced their new record, The Siren Song. It’s the Saskatchewan duo’s first CKUA session to feature the full band.

After his recent release featuring collaborations with Carter Felker, John Wort Hannam, and Carolyn Mark to name just a few, Ryan ‘Skinny’ Dyck stopped by the CKUA performance space with the Chicken Catchers to share songs from his new record Twenty One-Nighters.

The show wraps with Mariel Buckley, who joined Allison Brock at the Edmonton Folk Festival to talk about her forthcoming record Driving in the Dark, produced by Leeroy Stagger. Mariel talks about her connection to Leeroy, quitting her job to focus on music, and crafting her sound on her sophomore effort.

Tune Friday at 8pm to catch it all.
