Meg’s first concert was Sharon, Lois & Bram in Edmonton at the tender age of two.  The dancing elephants, the sing-alongs, the skinnamarinks — she was hooked!

Since then, Meg has travelled across the country making radio, mostly with the CBC. She’s had the pleasure of hosting CBC music shows on Radio One, Radio 2 and Radio 3, and has also helped create special programs like CBC Music’s Searchlight band search. Most recently, she came back out West to help build Banff Centre Radio, a community-focused radio network based out of the Banff Centre.

Meg now lives in Calgary, where she makes radio and teaches journalism at Mount Royal University. Her musical tastes may have evolved since that first concert, but when Meg caught Sharon and Bram at the Roots and Blues Festival in Salmon Arm a few years ago, her rendition of “Peanut Butter and Jelly” may have been one of the most emphatic on record.
