Which songs do you think should be on Canada’s Ultimate Playlist?

Send us your picks online using the hashtag #canada150playlist on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. You can also use the Open Mic feature on the CKUA App or call 1-855-650-CKUA to send in choices.

We’ll compile and share Canada’s Ultimate Playlist – as curated by you – to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.

On July 1, tune into CKUA Radio for a Canada 150 Listening Party Birthday Bash.

Between 10am and 7pm on July 1, our hosts will bring their A Game (or Canadian ‘eh Game), and present the very best of Canadian music through the decades. With special features, a taste of interviews with beloved Canadian musicians, and select songs from Canada’s Ultimate Playlist, you’ll be in the mood to celebrate with CKUA.

Get together with fellow music lovers to throw a Canada 150 Listening Party Birthday Bash. Provide a few themed snacks to pair with your favourite show: Wide Cut Birthday Brunch, A Jazzy Garden Party, Natch’l Blues & BBQ or Mulligan Stew Porch Party. Get your FM or digital radio and speakers ready and host a fun, music-filled party that celebrates 150 years of Canadian music with Canada’s oldest public broadcaster, CKUA Radio.
