Craig Cardiff on How I Hear It
Over his 15-year career, Ontario singer-songwriter
Craig Cardiff has released about one album a year. But, with his latest release, the folk singer hailed by Gordon Lightfoot as a “songwriter who needs to be heard” took a different approach. While many of his previous albums have been recorded live or off the floor, Cardiff chose to take his time with
Floods and Fires, a philosophy that has certainly paid off. The album was nominated for a 2012 JUNO Award as "Roots and Traditional Album of the Year: Solo" and has sent him across the country a number of times in the past year. As Craig Cardiff passes though Alberta this month he'll be performing songs from
Floods and Fires and many of his 15 previous releases.
And he'll be joining Monica Miller for the August holiday Monday edition of
How I Hear It. Monica will be your host from 2-6pm and Craig Cardiff will be her guest at 4:30pm.
