Monkeyjunk - To Behold

On Last January’s Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise in the Caribbean, there were a group of folks running around in monkey suits all week, and I don’t mean tuxedos...they were “MonkeyJunkies”, lobbying for their favourite band to be featured on the line up of the cruise. And no wonder, this Canadian band out of the Ottawa area is hugely entertaining, featuring 3 stellar musicians; Steve Marriner on harmonicas, guitars and Hammond organ; blues warrior Tony D on electric guitar and drummer Matt Sobb. MonkeyJunk’s sophomore effort, “To Behold” finds the trio in fine form, touching all the bases...a little funk, a touch of acoustic blues, soulful ballads, and even a burning cover of a Hank Williams song.
