Del Barber on How I Hear It

OK...I'm going to start off with a stolen quote, from the Globe and Mail, which just 'discovered' Winnipeg's Del Barber.  "Nine songs of melody, everyday desperation and occasional arrivals of harmony..."  What they are describing is Del Barber's new Six Shooter Records release Headwaters - his third full-length recording.  The first (2009) got him a Western Canadian Music Award nomination.  The second (2011) resulted in 2 more WCMA nominations that turned into wins as both Roots Solo Recording and Independent Album of the Year.  Plus a JUNO Nomination.  It has indeed been a pleasure to watch folks 'discover' Del Barber.  If you'd like to join the process, join me, Monica Miller, Friday June 1 at 2pm on How I Hear It.  Del will be there.  With his guitar.
