Sarah Hoyles

Sarah comes to CKUA with experience from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) where she worked as a radio producer, contributor and reporter on such shows as Definitely Not The Opera and regional current affairs programming in Alberta, Manitoba and New Brunswick.

Sarah obtained her journalism degree from Halifax's University of King's College and an honors Arts degree in drama from the University of Alberta.

Her interest in the arts, music and social issues has taken her to Newfoundland to help coordinate the 18th St. John's International Womens' Film Festival, to Ottawa to complete a contract with the United Nations Association in Canada as the communications officer for a national diversity project, to Zambia with Journalists for Human Rights, and back home to Edmonton to help launch the Art Gallery of Alberta in 2010 as the gallery's media relations coordinator.

Sarah has also written articles for publications and websites across Canada including The Scope and the Edmonton Journal.
