On Arts Alive today...a theatrical and personal look at the horror that is human trafficking. Andrew Kooman's new play, She Has a Name, deals with the ugly world of human trafficking...an issue that the Red Deer-based playwright says hits close to home.  The statistics bear that out - the RCMP estimates some 600 - 800 people are trafficked into Canada annually.  Andrew says he created the work to respond on a personal level to his new-found awareness of trafficking that he gained while spending time in Asia.

She Has a Name opens tomorrow in the Motel space at the EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts in Calgary and runs until March 5.  It then moves to Red Deer's Scott Block Theatre from March 9 - 12.  Tickets are available at the door, but if you want to order them in advance visit burntthicket.com.
