Chai, Shuann

Shuann Chai is a Chinese-American pianist and fortepianist currently based in the Netherlands. She has been critically acclaimed for her interpretations on both modern and historical instruments. Ms. Chai earned a Master's degree at the New England Conservatory in Boston. She has long fostered an active interest in early pianos, and completed a graduate course in fortepiano at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the Netherlands. Last year she received a scholarship to support her residency at the Banff Centre and she recently recorded her debut CD of Beethoven sonatas.
