Managing Director of Quest Theatre since 2001, Rose is a strategic arts leader with over 20 years of experience in all major areas of theatre production and administration.
Under Rose’s leadership Quest Theatre has twice received the Alberta Performing Arts ENCORE! AWARD for “Outstanding Business Practices Supporting Artistic Excellence.” In addition, the company’s earned revenue has increased by over 70%, investment in production values and artists development has increased by over 73%, and the company has a new facility that provides a consolidated base for creation, production and operations.
Rose has a proven history of mentoring emerging theatre professionals and arts companies as demonstrated through her full-time work with Quest, as an Instructor in the Fine Arts Department at Mount Royal University (College) and working with smaller arts companies to assist them in strengthening their administrative and financial systems.
In 2010 Rose was honored to receive the Rosza Foundation Human Resources Award. An active community volunteer, Rose currently serves as volunteer Workshop Facilitator for the Board Development program with Alberta Culture and Community Services.
Her dedication to emerging artists, community collaboration, and sustainable business practices has been instrumental in creating an award winning company that celebrates the spirit and responsibility of Theatre for Young Audiences. Quest Theatre has grown at all levels of the organization as a direct result of her innovative leadership.
